Dear Jellybean,I'm having some trouble with school and it's starting to get to me. Okay, so here's the thing, in 7th grade I "came out" and now I get made fun of a lot in 8th. I get called a "lez", which I'm not because I'm bi, and I dress a little differently, which makes people have the urge to call me goth or emo (which I am neither).
However the way I dress doesn't really help because it's a stereotype that everyone who dresses "emo" or "goth" are gay or bi, I just happen to be a coincidence. I've tried telling them that "emo" is a mental thing and has NOTHING to do with the way someone dresses and that being a lez and bi are 2 different things. So please give me some advice to make the teasing stop, without bringing my famliy and teachers into the matter (my family doesn't know).
