LOCKER ESSENTIALS
Check out these must-haves for every girl's purse this school year, from Myjellybean.com:
Sunglasses
To protect your eyes in the lunchtime sun... and to hide behind when you're sneaking a peak at that hottie! Keep your sunglasses in a case (either hard or soft) to prevent scratches and other damage.
Cell Phone
In your purse or your backpack, it's a total necessity.
Phone/Address Book
If you don't program all your important phone numbers into your cell, tote a phone/address book to keep track of them.
Pen and Notepad
For jotting down the location of that after-school club, or the phone number of a new friend. You can keep your locker combo in here too, just in case you space on it.
Keys
Obviously, keys to your car if you've got one, and to your house if you've got to let yourself in after school.
Cash and ATM Card
Cash for daily needs like lunch or snacks; ATM card in case you run out.
ID
Keep your important identification (like Driver's License or Student Transit Card) in a credit-card holder or small wallet.
Sugarless Mints
Hey, bad breath happens. At least you’ll have some breath mints to save you from that post-lunch pizza breath.
Kleenex
You never know when you'll need it.
Makeup Kit
Buy a cute cosmetics case at the drugstore, or nab a see-through Ziploc bag from your pantry at home, and stock it with the following essentials:
Lip Gloss - if you carry no other makeup, it's all you need to freshen up
Hair comb - to keep locks in place
Eyeliner or shadow - if you use it, carry it with you for touch-ups
Face wipes - to eliminate shine and manage pimples
Powder Compact - great for covering blemishes, plus this way you'll always have a mirror
Nail file - in case of a rip
Band Aids - in case of a scrape
Safety pins - in case of an embarrassing clothing incident
Travel-sized hair gel - for quick hairdo fix-ups
Dental floss - for after lunch, to freshen breath and remove food particles from between teeth
