MARVELLOUS FACIAL MASKS

Prep for back-to-school with a pampering DIY facial! Use these quick and easy Myjellybean.com recipes to give your facial skin a special treat. The masks can all be made at home with ingredients from your kitchen, and are meant to be used once a week. (TIP: Each of these recipes will last for about two weeks in the fridge. After that, throw out unused mixtures and whip up a new batch.)

AHHHVOCADO FACIAL PACK FOR DRY SKIN

What You'll Need:
1 ripe avocado
1 Tablespoon of honey
1/2 cup of plain regular yogurt (not low-fat)

Scoop the avocado out of its peel and mush up in a bowl with the honey and yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face and allow to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

AUTUMN APPLE MASK FOR OILY SKIN

What You'll Need:
1 medium apple - peel removed and grated finely
5 Tablespoons of honey

Mix the grated apple and honey in a small bowl. Smooth over skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well with cool water.

CREAMSICLE AWAKENING AND CLEANSING MASK FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

What You'll Need:
1 teaspoon of plain regular yogurt (not low-fat)
The freshly squeezed juice of 1/4 of an orange

Stir the ingredients in a bowl or cup until they are well-blended. Use fingertips to smooth the mixture onto your face. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

HONEY OF A GLAZE FOR NORMAL TO DRY SKIN

What You'll Need:
A washcloth
Some honey

Place the washcloth in warm water and apply it to your face for 5 minutes to open up your pores. (Lie back and listen to some music as your pores expand). Smear the honey over your facial skin and leave on for up to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, using the washcloth to help cleanse your face. Finish with a splash of cold water to seal pores again.

OATMEAL EXFOLIATING MASK FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

What You'll Need:
2 teaspoons of dry oatmeal
1 teaspoon baking soda
Water

Mix the oatmeal and baking soda in a small bowl. Add a little bit of water at a time, mixing until you have formed a sticky paste. Apply this to your face with fingers, moving your fingertips in a circular motion to gently massage your facial skin. Massage for 1 minute, then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
