Dear Jellybean,
I took horseback riding lessons when I was 10 and then stopped. Recently, I started taking them again. I have discovered that this is a passion of mine, and I really can't live without.
It makes me really happy, and i don't mind paying out of my own pocket for my lessons. However, my parents think of this as just another phase. Even though I go through a lot of "phases," I can tell that this will not be one of them. They don't provide transportation and they don't pay for the lessons, so I don't understand why they don't support me through this. Just the other day, I asked my Dad tp help me pay for cowboy boots and he refused. How can I convince my parents that this isn't a phase, and to support me?
Thank you,
Barrel Racer
