His Parents Are Too Protective

Dear Jellybean,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months, and we love to be together. We usually hang out at his house, and we like to lay on the grass together, his arm usually around my shoulders or waist. So one day when we were doing this, his mom peeked outside and saw us. I didn't think it was a big deal, but when he went inside to get something to drink, his parents jumped all over him, saying what we were doing looked "inapproriate" and "She could get pregnant at her age" and a bunch of stuff like that.

Surprised Dad on Computer

I'm not sure if this is really a problem. I walked into my parents' room and my dad seemed really surprised and started clicking really fast on the computer, as if exiting something he didn’t want anyone to see. He acted really flustered afterwards.

Mom Criticizes Her Weight

Dear Jellybean,

My mom likes to make comments or jokes about my weight. I'm not fat or chubby, I'm 5'7 and I weigh around 140 pounds. Like for example, my mom, dad, and sister are all on this diet in my house. I was saying to my sister how perfect her body was and she didn't need to be on this diet. My mom said to me, "You should go on this diet" and that really hurt me, but I didn't say anything.

Bossy Older Sister

My older sis is three years older than me and I hate her behaviour. She wants everything to be perfect in her room and even if I keep the bottle of lotion just 1 cm away from the place she kept it, she screams at me. We share a bathroom and if I don't dry every single drop of water, she bites my head off.

My mom says that I have to wait until I'm 17 to get contacts, she says I'm too irresponsible. How can I convince her that I'm responsible enough and that they aren't too expensive?
