Your old cell phones is just a fossil to you - but it could actually save somebody's life.
Donate your old cell phone and you could save the life of a victim of domestic violence, or a senior citizen in need.Recycled cell phones are an essential emergency item for vulnerable members of society, such as women in domestic violence shelters and senior citizens living alone. Your old phone can be used - even without a wireless service plan - to connect someone with emergency services, and maybe save a life. (Even with no service plan, donated cell phones are reusable because they can still dial a 911 call center, an FCC requirement).

All five national mobile phone carriers in the U.S., and many in other countries, cooperate in a mobile phone recycling take-back plan, accepting unwanted cell phones at any of their retail locations nationwide.
