Dear 4Eyes,
The only way to convince your mom that you're responsible, is to show her. That means, obviously, acting responsibly. Since you and your mom may have difference ideas of what that means, sit down and chat with her about it. You could suggest a deal, such as, you promise to obey curfew, do your chores, feed the cat twice a day, and wash the dishes after dinner every night (or whatever makes sense in your household). If you keep this up for three months without fail, she has to agree to get you contacts. Many parents go for this kind of bargaining, so it's worth a try.
If money is the issue, maybe you can help contribute to paying for the expense. Babysitting, doing odd jobs, even helping out with your parents' work, depending on what they do for a living, can bring in extra dollars that you could put towards new lenses.
