Dear Jellybean, I'm writing you this as a very concerned best friend. My friend is dating a complete jerk. And to be completely honest with you, I hate him more than anything in the world.
He's very, very controling and I'm sick of seeing my best friend hurt. He tells her that she's not allowed to talk to any of her friends and he basically keeps me and her from each other and whenever I see her he's always around, I can never get her alone to just talk because he always has a problem with it.
He makes her cry almost everyday at school because he gets mad at her when she looks at anyone else but him or talks to any other guy. He has completely isolated her and says things like "You need to pick one, me or your friends". No one should ever have to choose! She's tried hundreds of times to talk to him about these problems but he'll just dismiss them as if they don't exsist or he'll just say "I don't want to talk about this".
He thinks when he makes her upset he can just make it all better by giving her a hug and telling her he loves her but what he doesn't realize is that by doing that it fixes nothing. So is there anything I can do to help my friend out in this situation? What can she do herself to get it through his head that this needs to STOP? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!
