    Hahaha. I think what probably happened was the first person spelled it that way so everyone else followed suit without even thinking about it.

    In my special education class last semester, my professor who has a over two decades of experience in the field said he was the poster boy.

    Everyone already gave the examples I had in mind, but would Dexter (from Dexter, obviously) have something, mental disturbance related, which is considered a disability in a way.

    Dr Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds, I'm sure it's been suggested on the show that he has Aspergers.

    There's also a girl in American Horror Story with Down's Syndrome, I think her name is Adelaide?
