Dear Jellybean,
I have a BIG problem. I am 11 years old and in the 6th grade. I would be like every other girl except I have DD breasts. I mean I am 5' and 110 pounds. Not fat for the way I am built but my breasts are always getting in the way. When ever I am in the gym changing for PE I have a bunch of giggleing gurls staring and pointing at my breasts. My friend Taalor even though I know she means well always brings me down. When I am in gym even if I am wearing a sports bra my boobs wobble and she always points this out to me. Also boys make cracks about it all the time. ITs not apporite so I am not going to right it. I have had boobs since third grade and now that I am in 6th grade I am really self concise about it. Jellybean, WHAT CAN I DO! =(
Sincerely
Paige
Dear Paige,
Besides waiting for your classmates to grow up and get some maturity, you can't do much about other people. By next year, a lot more of your female classmates will be developing breasts, and the focus will be off you a bit. This year, all you can really do is (1) get good bras that support your breasts properly, and (2) be confident in your own self. Oh yes, and (3) if a guy makes an inappropriate comment, you can report him to the teacher, or just roll your eyes and say, "You're such a baby." That should shut him up. (And if not, he's beyond help - some guys are just immature and hopeless). Tell your friend Taylor you know she thinks she's being funny, but you'd like her to stop her teasing, because it's really hurting your feelings. As for the other kids, ignore all comments and whispering... hold your head high, and be above such childishness.
