Dear Stumped,
There's no need to paint your house, or have a big space, in order to have a great party. What makes a party work is the atmosphere, the right mix of people, and the fun that's created when everyone gets together.
First, think about what kind of party you want to have. If it will be all-girls, a slumber party is always a great idea. All you need for that is a few girlfriends (and their sleeping bags), some chick-flick DVDs (anything starring Johnny Depp should do) and a few snacks (popcorn, pretzels, cupcakes, pizza, soda, or whatever). Have it in your rec room or TV room. Throw in a few fun activities, like makeovers and playing Truth or Dare, and you're all set for a great night.
If you want to throw a big boy-girl party, you could always do a theme. Why not throw a Halloween party, since the holiday is coming up soon? It's always a blast to get friends together in costume Sit down with a pen and paper, and come up with a guest list.
