SHE KISSED HER BFF'S BOYFRIEND

I did a horrible thing and I don't know what to do. Well one night, my best friend went out of town for the weekend which also happened to be the weekend my parents were out of town as well. So, me and her boyfriend were just talking and he suggested that we should hang out, so I invited him over to my house since no one else was home. We were just hanging out and having a good time, then he kissed me! I didn't pull away because I have secretly liked him for about a year now. Well, one thing lead to the next and we hooked up that night. We swore to each other that we would keep it a secret, and we both have so far but I feel horrible about keeping it from my best friend. The only thing is, I know for a fact that my best friend would get mad if she found out but I want to tell her so badly. I'm just afraid that if I do te ll her, she will never trust me ever again. I know this isn't a common thing that happens, but am I the only one that has made this mistake or a similar mistake like this before? Please help me, I'm in desperate need of help! Dear Confused,

Do not, I repeat do not, tell your friend. The deed is already done, you both feel terrible, and you don't plan to do it again (right?). Telling your friend would only hurt her, and possibly ruin her relationship with her boyfriend. Unless that is secretly what you want to happen, keep your mouth tightly shut. That's your punishment for your dirty deed - living with the guilt in silence.

You can make it up to her by being a totally amazing friend. Of course, you must never again do anything to betray her. And for everyone's sake, keep some distance between you and your friend's BF. Better safe than sorry (again).
