I'm in 7th grade and my best guy friend's birthday is coming up. I have a HUGE crush on him and all of his friends say that he likes me too. He plays baseball and always invites me to go see him play and ride with him. A few days ago, my best friend called him and asked him if he liked me or was going to ask me out and he said he was thinking about it for my birthday. Unfortunatly, his birthday is 18 days before mine. I have absolutley NO IDEA what to get him! I know that he loves baseball and country music. I don't want to get him anything too big because we're not going out. Can you PLEASE HELP??

Dear Confused,
You've got some great clues about what he likes. And you're smart enough to know that a too-big gift wouldn't be right, since you're not (yet) dating. Keep it simple with a CD or two by a country singer/group he likes, or tickets to see a local band (with you, of course!). Or, consider getting him tickets to a ball game, an autographed piece of baseball memorabilia, or a book about the great players of the game.
