Dear Jellybean,
My best friend and I have known each other for eleven years now and have been extremely close despite our two and a half year age difference. Lately, though, I've found that I don't understand her at all and I'm worried that she's going down the wrong path. She told me almost proudly how she trashed her crush's car at three in the morning and how she was illegally drinking wine at her friend's house. She's been disobeying her mom all over the place - and not just about things like not cleaning her bedroom. She's never been like this before and I'm panicking. Talking to her does nothing because she's sixteen and "too cool for the advice of a freshman". Should I tell my parents? I'm afraid of destroying our friendship and yet I don't want to see her getting in trouble later on.
