Dear Jellybean,
You need to help me. I have this one friend who is really smart. I am smart too. The problem is, her level of intelligence is mastery or greater compared to mine. All of my other friends say, “She’s such a genius-she’s good at everything.” I AM SO SICK OF HEARING THIS. Anytime her name comes up in the conversation, it’s always, “She’s naturally good at everything!” This lowers my self-esteem. In class, it seems like she’s showing off, but I know she’s not doing it on purpose. To top it off, the guy I like is my class, who seems to like me, but it makes me look dumb! Almost like an idiot! The teacher hates me, and uses her for a great example everyday! She's in all AP Classes (2) and I'm only in 1. I’ve talked to her about it before, but she just said, “I’m just following directions.” Myjellybean, I don’t know what to do! I feel like I’m not good at anything! Please help, I don’t want to sulk in my own solitude forever. How can I become good at something?
