Dear Jellybean,
I met this guy last year and thought he was a total jerk, and he knows it. We’ve been talking a little more lately, but he still thinks that we’re not that cool. Thing is, I really am starting to like him. He’s really funny and we joke around together occasionally. The only problem is, nobody knows that I like him so in order to hide it I make fun of him and stuff. Even though he’s been nicer lately, I’m not sure if I should tell him or not that I like him, especially since one of his friends likes me. I just don’t know if I should tell him that I like him or not because I don’t want him to totally reject me and then ruin the friendship we’re slowly developing. What do I do?
Dear Writer,
Don't just blurt out that you like him. That slowly developing friendship is your best weapon, so it would be a bad idea to do anything to mess with it! My suggestion is, let things keep on developing the way they have been lately. Ease up a little on the teasing, keep up the joking and hanging out, and continue getting to know each other better as friends. See where all this takes you, and don't go dropping any "I Like You" bombs. If you two are meant to be, it will happen naturally.
