Dear Jellybean,
My skin is pretty much clear except for a few pimples around the nose area. I think the problem is sunscreen that is causing my skin to be extra oily. If I don’t wear sunscreen, my face gets burned really bad and I don’t want to get skin cancer later on in life. Are there any types of sunscreen that I can buy that aren't as oily but protect my face?

Dear EEH,
The search for a sunscreen that works for oily skin can be frustrating. But skipping sunscreen is NOT the answer! Beauty companies have started to address this problem, and you can actually find a few sunscreens that are made specifically for people with your skin type. I can't say which is best for you - you may have to experiment with a few. Here are a few products that I have heard pretty good things about.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock, SPF 30
This sunscreen is great for active people, since it's waterproof, sweatproof and "rubproof". It offers protection against both UVA rays (which cause wrinkles) and UVB rays (which cause sunburn). It's designed to go on ultra-light and absorb fast, with no shine. It also smells pretty good, like most Neutrogena products.
Aveda Dual Nature Face Protection SPF15 Skincare
Aveda products are fabulous - and I've heard good reviews on this lightweight, oil-free daily sunscreen for the face. It's "non-comedogenic" which means it won't irritate pimple-prone skin, and it's good a decent SPF rating. If you're into the environment, you'll like that Aveda products are formulated from mineral and plant derived anti-oxidant ingredients (such as sunflower seed extract) to fight UV rays and environmental factors (like pollution), and keep skin balanced.
