Dear Jellybean,
I have a REALLY BAD HABIT of staring in space and drooling. Well, I don't know why I stare in space and I don't know the reason of my drooling. I'm not thinking of anything, I just do it. Then when I get into reality, my friends (or so called friends) embarrass me about it by asking why I'm drooling or about what I'm thinking about. I don't really want to embarrass myself by saying it's just a habit and them finding out that I do it all the time but I also don't know what to say. They are really understanding friends but are also blabbermouths. I don't trust them with my secrets 'cause they usually tell me things they promised not to tell. What should I do??
-Gurl wid a bad habit
Dear Gurl,
Daydreaming is normal, and nothing to be too worried about unless you're dreaming your way through school and getting bad grades. But if it's not interfering with your studies, don't worry. On the other hand, drooling is no good, because it's too easy to get caught and be embarrassed! My suggestion: chew sugarless gum. Even when you drift away in thought, your mouth will keep automatically chewing and this will prevent the drooling part of your drooling-and-daydreaming habit.
